Bean-to-bar chocolate made in Vancouver’s Granville Island since 2015. Kasama Chocolate has won several International Chocolate Awards, using ingredients from local vendors and producers in their bars and truffles. Kasama values an atmosphere of mutual collaboration, support, and community building opening the door of craft chocolate.
A marriage of two very different beans, both from the same origin. This dark chocolate bar combines our spring 2019 harvest Philippine cacao beans from Davao with freshly roasted coffee beans sourced by our friends Iona & Paolo of Kapé Coffee. This semi-washed coffee is grown in the highlands of Bansalan, by award-winning coffee grower, Ate Marivic, part of a farmer owned co-operative in Davao del Sur. This synthesis of cacao & coffee beans yields notes of dates, roasted chestnuts, and muscovado sugar.
