XS Unified is committed to ethical business practices and economic responsibility at all levels of manufacturing. They work with factories that have WRAP Certification (Worldwide Responsible Accreditation Production), ensuring a commitment to uphold social and ethical business standards. All products manufactured in Canada are made in a family-run, unionized factory with a tradition of making woolen socks for three generations.

Proud to support Facing the World Foundation, XS Unified donates 1% of annual sales to help facilitate life-changing surgery for children with facial differences. The occurrence of birth defects in Vietnam is estimated to be 10 times higher than in neighboring countries, thought to be partly due to the legacy of Agent Orange. Through international fellowships, in-country training and equipment donations, the Facing the World’s network includes the Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) in Toronto, Canada, and The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Johns Hopkins Hospital, and University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in the USA.

As a small local, Vancouver based brand, XS Unifired designs all products in house with sustainability in mind. Their wool line is manufactured using a process that avoids unnecessary waste and uses eco-friendly chemicals and dyes—all of which reduce the risk of negatively impacting on the environment. Our cap line is made using deadstock (overstock) fabric which is fabric already existing making it more energy efficient than producing new fabric and potentially keeping unwanted materials out of landfills.
